Midnight Awakening

By susanne

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Restless yearnings awaken me only to vanish before I can see...hear...or feel the need Yet I know it there; for it stirred within my soul a soft rumbling of yesteryear. Ghostly shadows amidst the twilight beckon me to arise to a solitary dance yet the melody escapes me. Soon messages from another sphere surround and bathe me in their surreal beauty and I, in a state of inertia retrieve the vibrations that bade my heart hearken and suspend my spirit. In symbiotic union I exist Submerged in warm transparent fluid that rhythmically ebbs and flows as the tides. I inhale slowly deeply and with every methodical beat of my heart muscle fibers nerve endings every inch of my being aware of passions' hypnotic presence. Serenity survives Nothing to fear Ah....but where do I go from here? Adrift in a senuous sea of uncertainty I acquiesce and sweetly surrender to Apotheosis.
