[Misty morning memories]
By susanne
Misty morning memories meander in my mind Gently lift and carry me to another place in time I sail upon the wings of desire Across a velvet blue sky Lightly touch down to a billowing cloud soft as a new babes behind Soon I'm delivered to the place I should be Where my soul feels alive and my spirits set free A little piece of heaven on earth for me in Wild, Wonderful, West virginia Stumbled upon by happenchance Fortney Mills is nestled in the back woods of a rural ghost town Tis here my true love for nature was found In an untamed wilderness where beauty abounds I marvel at the sight and cherish the sounds Hear the rush of the waterfall? Ah...nature calls... In unabashed delight I strip down lie on a smooth flat rock (form fitted it seems) the warmth of the sun passes through me In peaceful contemplation I hear myself breathe Then the most majestic sight I have ever seen A swarm of silver tipped butterflys in every shade and hue flock around my body and in awe I cannot move... They flutter round about me unlock the child within and as they leave in hot pursuit I try to follow them to no avail Goodbye my friends! I frolick to the water's edge mesmerized by the cascade's flow feel the flush on my skin sweet smell of jessamine and without hesitation jump in! My senses diffuse Somehow in utero again As I rise to the surface and begin to swim I laugh, I giggle, I'm a child again!
