Survival of the Fittest

By susanne

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Thrasonical soldier in shades of chartreuse mimics the fetid cry of the spotted leopard who clings by a thread to instincts incessant call... Each hammered breath defys death's thraw Rivulets of red sink into the earth's unquenchable womb as sun sparks on burning sands. Spare me the sound of death's cower collared in retreat of man's chameleon manifestations of mind... The infidel moves toward his prey in anticipatory celebration Survival of the fittest saved for another day. Written March 9th, 2002 © on Mar 09 2002 04:05 AM PST   0 • 10
