[What good is love]
By susanne
What good is love when confined to a minute space where sunlight never sees its face knowing it could be erased and the world be not better or worse for it... What good is love if it slowly suffocates from deeply bound and convoluted roots which have nowhere to go nowhere to grow where the very essence of itself seems to be its foe... What good is love if in its hunger pangs it cries hearing only weary sighs from the object of its affection if in its thirst it parched the very heart that gave it birth... What good is love if it holds me at arms length then reels me in only when its sense of security is shaken... What good is love if it hides in the shadows fears all the tomorrows holds its head in sorrow and simply walks away... Alas, no not I my friend for like a tree in the willow my branches always bend.
