Looking to Distant Lands
Alas,if not for time and space I would touch the placid waters Of distant lands of the never seen Oceans bathed in blue moonlight Mountains unscathed by man To wish upon the furthest star through a shining nights sky To think you off miles a far Only they realize how small we are Then I behold heavens starry sea And know there is no distance so far Nor so vast that will prevent me From wondering if you are there With your eyes turned to the same Heaven drawn seas of distant light Winds above the trees swirl and sing in the night My soul hears and calls out beyond this place And beckons the universe to right this wrong To bring souls apart in time and space Together to live in harmony so very long Aboard this world so lost in an ocean Long forgot as heaven's shore brings The endless chain of new and old Both worlds and life of stories left untold Tomorrow will come and go on these Distant worlds as will newborn dawns Of morning and daybreak upon the Stars hidden yet felt this very night Written October 11th, 2001 © on Oct 10 2001 08:37 PM PST 0 • 8
