Not An Ugly Bouquet
Did you ever pass a field of wild flowers swaying in the wind and not smile? Or did you ever get a bouquet of flowers from a child? Every bloom was special because it came from the heart There are no ugly flowers; it’s been that way from the start God created flowers to bring smiles to our faces And to make us glad we are a part of the human races There is evidence everywhere this is true We send flowers to cheer friends when they are blue Weddings are embellished to add beauty and cheer Flowers bring smiles to all we hold dear Men bring flowers to impress they dates And home to their wives when they’re going to be late In the 60’s the flower children rebelled Their flower covered buses, cars and clothes regaled Why it flowers they shoved up the rifles of police When they were marching and screaming for peace Bouquets we send to friends who are sick Its colorful flowers bring cheer and make them get well quick There is wonderful magic in all flowers you see If they come from the tiniest weed or the biggest tree A well planted garden, manicured to the last detail Or an incredible display of wild flowers along a trail For God put them here for all mankind to share As a reminder of his love and how much he cares If a man wants to tell a woman he loves her dear Bouquets of red roses at her door may appear For there is no greater power to win affections As the sentiment of flowers its God’s creationsI have never seen an ugly flower not one. have you?
