When the world expects you to be perfect....

By TaraKM

At school, home or anywhere, I have always put forth my best, Often though I wonder, If that was the best decision, Sometimes it seems the more I do, The more is expected of me, And the better I am, The more everyone expects of me, Still though people get mad, They get jealous when your too good, And they tell you that you, "You think your too good for us." So I ask of you, How can I reach a happy medium, How can I make you realize that I cannot be perfect, And that in trying to be, I am not trying to make you look bad, Or to think bad things of me for it, And why do I care if I please everyone anyways, In the end, it not as if it will even matter.NOTE: "In the end," is in death.   Why do people expect you to do great things, then make you feel bad when you achieve them?  Makes no sense to me....
