Awakening Eros
On many a moonlit night it seems My heart said goodnight to my weary soul Whilst my spirit, like a spider spun many interesting dreams.. That my whole body and conscience did enthrall Asleep in such a restful slumber, I spent my entire childhood in repose; Whilst the whole earth rejoiced in Splendor Enjoying nature's beauty and love's resplendence: In hibernation I remained all winter long Underneath a golden sky.... Until the morning I heard that ethereal song Sung by a nymph in some distant lullaby, Whose brilliance blinded me completely! Making my eyelids flutter like mystified butterflies On a sunny morning, glorifying the beauty of a dewy rose. Refreshed after a long rest, at long last , Nature did awaken Eros!
