Flowers of the Heart

By The Golden Pen

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Let us plant some seeds of love Within the garden of the heart Let us till the earth with spades of kindness And lovingly plant these seedlings upon the fertile soil That is a good start! Let us hope that with our tender loving care they will blossom in the harvest; Day by day let us cultivate These tiny seeds with love and tenderness Knowing in our hearts that we have tried our very best Let us pull out the weeds Of unkindness and despair Which can choke the seeds before they have a chance to grow And fertilize them with tenderness, hope, patience, sympathy and trust Then let us with perserverance sit and wait For the seedlings to grow strong and healthy every day And blossom into loving, beauteous flowers That beautify forever the garden of the heart!
