From My Heart's Bounty

By The Golden Pen

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

A while ago I gave you my heart, wrapped in pretty Christmas paper.... A heart-felt gift given with love and much sincerity For you to keep forever; I am not an Indian giver... One who takes back what I present. When I gave you my heart it was forever... A gift for you to treasure; a unique and joyful present! To unwrap again and again and again To cherish, love and enjoy for your very own pleasure With no thought of recompense nor gain; So, darling....Please do not tell me you can't afford my gift to you... Do not question , return, nor reject what is freely given. Keep it forever safe inside  your soul's coffer. Seldom but  a chosen few who are dear to me... Have ever had the honor of receiving  this great gift I have to offer... The undying passion and devotion I share with those I truly value! Mary Gonzalez (c)2000 All rights reserved!
