Pre-Natal Lullaby

By The Golden Pen

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

I  can hear your voices, my children!         Soft, like angels sighing from above.       I will build you a sturdy haven       With an atmosphere of joy and love;       I will nurture, comfort and nurse you in my arms!       I may be far away from you,       But I shall keep you safe from harm!       I shall give you wings with which  to fly;       Reach to the highest heaven and catch  for you a  falling star..       I shall give to you the stars, the moon, the sky;       For you, dear children, there is so much more I'd like to offer.         I  can feel you inside me stirring in joy and glee       I sing to you my lullaby       Whilst I cuddle you so lovingly;       Hush, sweet darlings, do not cry!         You are yet a seedling within the soil of my womb       Yet very soon with the Light of my Love, care and sustenance       You, my darlings, you shall bloom!         To fill my days with joy, beauty and sheer happiness!                                                                 Mary Gonzalez                                                               (c) 20002000, A poem about the joys of motherhood.
