Shakespear, William(A Challenge Poem)
Shakespear, William With his golden pen Sat he by The edge of my bed, With vivid imagery He touched my head William Shakespear He fills my head With sonnetry And poetic images He takes me to Elizabethan journeys Back in time To the London theater He shows me hostile oceans and beautiful valleys, Showing me tragedies and humourous comedies... William Shakespear He takes me to England and flies me to a foreign land And he teaches me the trade of literature He fills my head with vivid poetry with words spun in gold, rich in imagery..written in fine penmenship.. and kissing my lips He fills me with grand inspiration... Making me write with much passion Turning this folly into my life's vocation! Mary Gonzalez (c)2002 Written February 24th, 2002 © on Feb 24 2002 12:42 PM PST, Mary Aris 0 • 9
