You Ask me Why I Love You
Why do I love you? It’s not that you’re the center of my universe, no indeed… It’s not because you’re the author of my happiness. This is not the reason why I love you with a love so deep, and true. It’s not because of worldly goods nor riches You do fulfill this inner need Which grows deep inside my very soul, Yet even this does not answer nor feed The question you ask of me…. So, why do I love you? The answer is quite simple I love you because of the way you make me feel when I am by your side I love you because of the woman you’ve helped me to become… For your love has made me see myself in a whole new way and I do confide. Your presence has made me realize I am more than just the sum Of all my potentiality I love you for the confidence, love and courage you’ve given me I am a gifted woman…a woman capable of many things and more in this life, Yet delicate and feminine, too… With your love I’ve grown from a little girl, a young woman and now your lawfully wedded wife. And that, My Darling, is the reason why I love you! Mary Gonzalez © 2002 Written April 12th, 2002 © on Apr 12 2002 02:15 PM PST, Mary Aris 0 • 8
