By The Green Man

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

It seems my friends that I sleep in the shadows of my approaching demiseStrangely I sleep very wellI would have thought it otherwiseA life that has been truly livedOne that has been enjoyed in full Is the greatest thing on Heaven or EarthAnd that my friends is no bullSo shed no tears when I am goneFor I shall return to you once moreIn your dreams I will be watchingOf that you can be sureSo live each day my childrenWith all your heart and soulAnd when you reach my age friendsI hope you still have your bladder controlMy my my this is horrible! But hey, it's mine! Written October 22nd, 2001 © on Oct 22 2001 12:22 PM PST   0 • 10
