Doggie Named Summer

my tail begins to wag my feet scramble for grip my ears jump to life my tongue begins to drip whoever could that be knocking at my door i can't seem to get up somethings wrong with this floor around the corner i pass my tummy fills with excite im at the door now i got the guy in sight someone get the door i cant reach the knob! i think i know who it is my mouths filling with slob! come here summer now! oh no dont put me away theres kids outside that door and i want to play! locked away for good now back in my room what you think im gonna eat them? how dare you assume! i just want someone to play with someone to take me outside why is everyone always in here its no fun here inside but wait here comes someone and they're putting on thier shoes! were gonna go ouside and run all through my pooh! gimme my things gimme my ball come here little toys its time for a maul! i love to play and run around all day i love the life i have please dont ever take it away now im panting and sweating i think im getting tired maybe we should go inside its time to retire back to the house where its so nice and warm people rub my belly and cook smelly popcorn i go to my spot and lay down in bed i think of today and dream of whats ahead Copyright © Sean Philip Davis Written in late 2000 Written May 13th, 2002 © on Feb 11 2002 03:20 PM PST, Sean Philip Davis
