The Simple Pleasures In Life
By thespuddy
Rosey cheeks Bare feet of course Cloths hanging on for dear life Nothing around her significant Her own little ring of books is all that matters The simple pleasures in life Words being thrown left and right Words sounding more like sounds Bleac, Mump, Doogle, Napp, Blooop! A clump of sweaty hair flipped across her forehead Is this book worth me numbing? Naa! On to the next! Out of nowhere, the books come alive A lively poodle walks by DOGGY DOGGY DOGGY! The simple pleasures in life Out draws her hand Her face licked up and down, up and down The smile of a child not affraid of anything Onlookers amazed by her calmness But she is just enjoying what most people miss, The simple pleasures in life Copyright © Sean Philip Davis Written 11/01/1999this is about a little girl i saw reading books in the childrens section in a book store i use to work in during high school. when the dog came up to her she handles it so well. i was so moved by her, i had to write something about her.
