Theme for English 1A Mr. Hopper, the teacher said: "Go home and write a page tonight, and let that page come out of you. and then it will be true" I wonder if its that simple? I’m 14, male, born in Watauga. I went to school there, now at high school, and maybe on to college. But now at this high school on the hill above Boone. I’m one of 11students in my English class. The drive here leads down into Boone Through a bustling highway, then I cross 321 take a couple of turns and I come to Rush Branch rd. The 6th house on the right, where I take the steps to my room, lay down and write this page. It’s not easy to know what is true for you and me, At 14, my age. But I guess I’m what I feel, and see and hear. Watauga high school, I hear you, hear you, hear me-we two-you, me talk on this page (I hear Manhattan, too) Me-who? Well, I like to sleep, sleep and sleep and sleep some more. But in reality I like to read, earn money, and have fun in life. I would like a DVD player for Christmas, or a Playstation 2, maybe a paintball gun. I guess being one of the 1500 students doesn't make me like everyone else. So will my page be the same as the rest? Being me I seriously doubt it. But it will be a part of you teacher. You are an individualist. Yet a part of me as I am a part of you. That's American Sometimes I may get on your nerves and likewise sometimes vise versa. But we are that’s true As I learn from you you cant help but learn from me. Although your an adult-(having more authority) and because of this, somewhat more free. This is my page for English 1A Written September 5th, 2001 © on Nov 22 2001 10:51 AM PST 0 • 10
