True Horror

By Thomas McGhinnis

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

True horror what is it?                  Is it a small child donned in an oversized cape?                  Or is it a little girl dressed in a long, sleek whitch's hat?                  Does crawling through a cob-web infested haunted house send your heart pounding?                  Called the Devil's Holiday does Halloween really send you into a panic?                  But have you experianced true horror.?                  Not knowing where you go after death,                  Rotting and burning in hell.                  What powers the dead have over us.                  The demons peeking their horrific noses out of hell                  Or maybe losing a child it took so long to raise                  Horror is much much more than we think Written November 27th, 2001 © on Nov 27 2001 09:59 AM PST   0 • 10
