Lover of the Moment

By tigerlilly

The inn was filled with soldiers passing through this village fair. The tavern owner's daughters served up ale with practiced flair. But one had slipped away unseen, drawn by a young man's winning way... and in the shadows, found the stable, where they both tumbled in the hay. Though each was well accustomed to warm body's siren song... she knew this one was special, one she had hoped for all along. Rustling satin, tawny velvet, emerald garter-ribboned thighs... spoke the flurry of her skirts as she breathed in softest sighs, to her lover of the moment... the one whom she would not forget, as he unlaced all the bindings of her 'broidered corselet. Silken hose, slowly rolled down, revealed such fair and lovely skin; then her eyes closed as he tarried, trailing touches up and then... came the moment that her body felt his full weight cover hers... and like a kitten fair caressed, her pleasure turned to throaty purrs. His fingers tangled in her curls, wild flowing mane of honeyed hair... her hands pulled his dark head closer, to the red lips waiting there. And all the kisses of a lifetime were with this one, erased away... from the slate of silent memory, where only his would stay. Dancing partners, warm theater, darkness shapes the atmosphere... as members of this orchestration strike each note, so pure and clear, of love's magic sweeping ballad... her heart was wed to him this night, though she knew that her crusader would be gone soon from her sight. With the dawn, he bid goodbye to her, with a wave rejoined his band... she sent him off with merry eyes to unknown distant lands...all comments and critiques welcomed Written January 18th, 2002 © on Jan 18 2002 05:22 AM PST   0 • 8
