Musical Rebounds:War Pill

By Timothy Cameron

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Soulful apparitions flow From lessons learned from the bow. Unfortunately with no gain to remain Of blackened, parched music sheets... Only "suspicious" students resist resisting. Violent chambers stubbornly echo Against is-been founders who flounder. Successors meet with tumult As convert teachers steal and tear Tears from venerable notes. Quieting paces create anguish, Full melodies pound pulse within, within, Heaven's tick-tock trap-lock solitude. Snare upon the thieves like gasped retributive air Piped from "Rebellious" wind instruments. Avenues ring of external imperatives, As ten thousand chest-pounders thump away Their inward howls until rhythmic Reigning Past Masters sizzzzzzzle upon pedestals. Nonwithstanding frigidity, youthful sacrificial coals Melt Away the mute discoveries. How do you feel? Written November 9th, 2001 © on Nov 09 2001 04:03 PM PST, Timothy G Cameron    0 • 9
