Before it seeds

Youthful minds sway towards such violence, 'cause of hate within kept in silence Violence, the result of vain hate which I will not let it be my ending fate What nurtures this kind of hate to such an end? Does it come from the ones we call a friend? Maybe its in the things we see or hear that could bring people to hate and fear Many victims of this wrath and violence lay dead and their names rest on the tombstones to be read Painful memories and scars will never fade away in every ending night and in every rising day I guess it's the price I must pay All I can do is learn to forgive the deeds of others and let go of the hate that feeds    the violence of our wrath before it seedsthis poem is for the victims of the school shootings Written October 20th, 2001 © on Oct 20 2001 12:26 AM PST   18 • 0 • 10
