My Love

By Tracy Baxter

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

You loved me so much, But I let you go, That wonderful love that I may never know, Why do we do it, Why do we let it slip away, I was so scared to hold on to it, And made you walk away, Those times you held me, Never letting me go, Telling me that everything would be ok, And sheltered me from all this pain that I now know, And now another love is with you, Replacing my bond, She will mask over our memories, And take away all we found, Although I may hurt to know you love again, I cherish what I know to be true, That I was once loved, I was loved by you. © on May 30 2001 11:49 PM PST   0 • 8
