Broken Silence (for my Mom)
By trayseelynn
the silence around her is deafening no one hears her cries she sits all alone as each part of her dies she thinks to herself why am i here? her heart on a shelf wiping away each dusty tear. she loved her family completely her children are all grown cries to herself discreetly a prisoner in this home the four walls that surround her keep her bound in chains memories seem a blur in the shadows they remain a life of hurt and sorrow the burdens of the past she bares she lives for only tomorrow where again, at the walls she stares but she is loved without her knowing by someone within arms reach although it isn't showing all these lessons she had to teach a mother who's arms surrounded this child she tried to shield have bloomed inside her; astounded like new born flowers in a field. she was molded from her compassion her love, her prayers, her dreams complete from a mother's passion no matter what it seems my mother is an eagle from God's hands she has flown one of his most regal the love to me; she's shown I wouldn't trade one moment of my life I've spent with her and if I've never shown it I thank God each day for her My rock, my heart, my strength she's my world No matter what she thinks I'm still her little girlI love you Mommy, and I'm always here for you NO MATTER WHAT or WHO comes along!!!!! And I would never change one single thing in my life if it meant I would have to be without you! Written April 19th, 2002 © on Apr 18 2002 06:50 PM PST 18 • 0 • 8
