Entrancing Flame
By trayseelynn
~^Entrancing Flame^~ A lonely flame entrances me, Tells me how lonely a flame can be. How hot it is here in this room. A wick and wax, this flame entombed - Solitary; sitting here by itself waiting, For a new flame: anticipating. A match to ignite it; bring it to life - Knowing that it is, its only light. Oh, to be alone like he? Such pain, heartache, and misery - I don't think I could handle the dark. Although asleep, I'm lit by a single spark. To be a flame on this candle's head - Blow me out; kill me dead! I don't want to be alone anymore! What is the reason I would be here for? To light up the darkness; set the shadows free. Maybe being a flame isn't as bad as it seems. So instead of being here all by myself, Bring me a new candle: a mate; on my shelf. Bring us to life; we'll make you smile. Sit here and be entranced for a while. ~^April 10, 2002^~ ~^Tracy Lynn Richardson^~ Written April 10th, 2002 © on Apr 09 2002 08:02 PM PST 0 • 10
