Ink Stained Tears

each word that is written by the ink of my tears wearing my heart on my sleeve as i'm  facing my fears it makes me no difference what people may say they can't stop me from feeling this way i know in my heart i'll love you forever and only time will tell if we'll be together my heart is my pen each word is unending with meanings so true it's my heart i'm defending but you knew all of this when you told me you loved me and forever with me is where you would be forever has now come to a bittersweet end and now as i try my hearts on the mend but the band-aides won't fix it there's only one choice to make my heart whole again just to hear your voice my thoughts dance gracefully memories written by heart played over like a movie because now we're apart in color i can see you the look in your eyes telling me you love me why can't you realize? you can't just forget me you can't and you know it but the more that you try you're starting to blow it because when i look into you're eyes, all i see is pictures of you staring back at me why can't you stand to look into mine are you afraid when you do that i'll come to mind you know in your heart exactly how you feel this feeling that your tossing aside are still very real someday you will wake up and realize i was your heart the one you tore out of my chest and ripped it all apart but, of course, i am still here as i always will be i never stopped loving you and you never stopped loving me Written March 26th, 2002 © on Mar 26 2002 04:43 AM PST    18 • 0 • 8
