Solitary Independance [survivor challenge 6]
By trayseelynn
Hidden with in her is a beast in captivity A silent and solace driven serenity She cannot hide this lover’s demise Truly herself, she wears no disguise Moonlight cast shadows on parts of her soul A ponderable feeling she can't lose control Freedom is bound to her by chains and walls A safety net below her incase she falls A balance of desire and passionate tales Something her inner child knows very well Frightened by loneliness she can't be alone The world that she serves here on her own Trying to please everyone and herself She realizes she can't answer to anyone else Standing on nothing, no hope or goals sought Her solitary independence she's faithfully fought No one let her choose the path she now follows Its her pride and her heart that she quickly swallows There’s no one to tell her which road she should take It’s her only decision to what her life makes Mistakes, lessons learned of things she's done wrong This is her creed, her broken heart's song They can't bring her down by hateful thing said Pain isn't found in any book she's read She dreams as she stands there staring into the night It’s for her own life she'll stand up and fight She just wants to be free from the walls and the chains Only the scars from life still remains Don’t judge her by looks; it's her beauty inside It’s behind her outer shell that her heart truly hides Look into her eyes, ice blue, frozen in time Loving someone too much is her only crime Arching her back she will finally stand tall Naked, untainted, nothing hidden at all Nothing is left, imagination gone; still confused You can't see the images, heart battered and bruised Proudly she stands through all the hurt and the pain Her feelings from tears fall from her like rain Yet, you'll never know this, she's hidden it well Only time will tell how much she'll reveal A fragile piece of art; her body and mind The purest of treasures you had the pleasure to find Her dreams keep her wanting, craving, in need Arms reaching, outstretched, as her heart desperately bleeds Lovers of the past have sliced it thinly into shreds And sometimes she thinks she'd be better off dead It’s her passion, her willingness to go on, to live She has so much more of her self left to give Lifeless and broke, she’ll settle the score Remembering exactly what she’s here for Someday she'll stand before someone else new You never know, maybe, that someone is you Written April 4th, 2002 © on Apr 03 2002 06:04 PM PST 0 • 13
