The Hole In The City
The hole in the city, was that dreadful day, When our land was broken in every way. We stood hopeless, like birds with no sky But together, united, we all seem to fly. They think without buildings we remain weak? Perhaps revenge is what they seek The hole in the city turned our world upside-down Tears and debris, fell to the ground. Through tragedy and sadness, we stay strong We won't be defeated for very long... I fear for our country, and all the lives lost, They planned it out well, but forgot the cost. The hole in the city brought our nation apart But what's even greater, is the hole in our heart. Written September 12th, 2001 © on Nov 17 2001 04:25 PM PST 0 • 9
