That Heaven May Fall

By Tyre

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Take my hand and abide in peace Let not worry fall upon your face In my arms I will comfort your heart Walking beside you at a steady pace In times of trouble, I will be a shield To buffer the arrows hurled against you That you may have a chance to stand Without fear of falling against the rue You are a precious gem unto my soul With luster sparkling against the night More brilliant than mere eyes can see As an endless source of purity's delight I will love you dearly with all my might As longing to touch your soft, tender lips And caress the fullness of your appetite Though lost in the midst of a total eclipse I will gladly endure in this living twilight In hopes of capturing even a fallen residue Of your rapturous splendor if only just once That heaven may fall from deep inside of you Written September 21st, 2001 © on Sep 21 2001 03:02 PM PST   0 • 8
