The Great Vacuum
When you slip into the great unknown And you stumble up the ladder of insecurity Would it even matter if you fell into the void Could you slide back down into the abyss of absolution? Could you come to the conclusion That you could either fly up or fall down The decision is yours, or is it fate With all its glory and power corrupts Could you handle falling so slow into a great low Into which you climb? How would you fix the problem of life without truth? You must be ruthless to succeed in a world without morals Where a great canker spreads over the land covering all And seeping into the minds of the mindless An eternal fall of all empires which have already been left in ruins The eclipse of the glowing moon over the fire, explosions, and eternal burning Of the great eye of the sun, the Cyclops now blinded Too much reality is just too much to handle so we close our eyes to dream of better things The Utopic visions now grow darker because we don’t want perfection Only something a little more bearable, but then grow weary and want more and more The unlimited wants and needs are just a characteristic of human So fall into the void, the vacuum of emotion and pretend your thoughts never occurred And live your life like a blur and fall back into numbness because too much reality Is just too much to take And consume the knowledge you’ll never use.Thoughts?
