A Cup of Coffee

By UTTubby

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Life's like a cup of coffee Not too hot, nor too cold Never boiled or sizzled served Or chilled when set down on the table, No more than a few teaspoons of sugar No more than a little coffee creamer For black appears too dark to me And too much sugar seems too sweet. Life's not perfect if a cup runs over Spilled coffee leaves a stain. When served if only a half-a-cup, It's not enough to satisfy me. Like a cup of coffee served just right, life seems a little more enjoyable. A cup of coffee served aroma smells so delicious and inviting. That morning sun shining through And that aroma-scent smelling, too seems so pleasant and full of life, But...it's not much fun when we're sipping all alone.
