Back To Me

By UTTubby

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Have you ever seen a golden moon on a lonesome bay and counted lil' stars but the seagulls get in the way? Do you sit near water's edge but drift outward to sea but, have you ever felt your heart to see if it leads back to me? Have you ever seen a sunrise peek over the way and bid goodbye to darkness to absorb another day? Do you bask beneath the sun, shining brightly on you, but, have you ever smiled at nothing, then often smiled at me, too? Have you ever drifted to Australia whereby animals roam and do you fancy that thought while struggling in the foam? Do you ever travel on a lil' puff of cloud, but then drift back to me while in your dream outloud? Have you ever heard the thunder without a stormy sky and do you feel raindrops without a tear in your eye? Do you ever watch the lightning streak throughout the dark and do you ever vision land without a love-song in your heart? Written November 7th, 2001 © on Nov 07 2001 03:56 AM PST   0 • 10
