It's all Downhill (A Trucker's World)
By UTTubby
I left my heart on the Oregon trail It had begun to shudder It began to wail. The sign read, "Trucks Use Lower Gear" I sat there patiently waiting. My feet had begun to shiver and shake, My eyes had swollen like an ocean. But, I stood tall in that Big Rig, stuck in my downhill slow motion. My truck, held its solid ground and I never had made a spill. I sailed on down around the bend looking for relief from that hill. All the weight that was on my back had sunk right down to my feet. But, I had shifted my gears like the sign read and the mountain I did beat. It's all downhill and I'm safe from harm, But Oh! How that mountain stood tall for others.
