Please! Write Me A Poem

By UTTubby

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Would someone please write me a poem for I'm so entangled in a simple rhyme. If one would simply loan me their words, I'd smile and thank you this time. I've not a penny nor a nickel to spare or a dollar to pay you for your time, Oh! But what I found on that rugged sidewalk was this brand new shiny dime. Now, one would say I'm peculiar or strange, but I tell you I'm not doing so fine, for all the poetic words I've seen written seem to elude my feeble mind. My friend I'd thank you for your written word, so would you please write me one-of-a-kind, for I'd gladly pay you alot more now than this brand new shiny coin of mine. Perhaps, would you take a hug and a smile, or a handshake this time? Later I'll write one for you sharing friendship, worth more than this brand new shiny dime.
