The Man In The Moon

By UTTubby

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

He shines while staring through the clouds, smiling, as if saying good morning, but he just sits up there in the dark. I bet if he could talk the stars would meet me. I'd mingle. Perhaps I'd meet an angel or two. Who knows? Maybe I could reach those pearly gates and walk the streets of gold. I just sit and wonder what he'd say if he could talk. What would he say? What would I do? Who knows, but I just smile and wonder. Written November 3rd, 2001 © on Nov 03 2001 12:43 PM PST   0 • 10
