Tossed at Sea
By UTTubby
Beside me she's perched as if awaiting a calmness. Sand drifts near our feet as she's ruffled by the salty spray. Her eyes wander, staring beyond the horizon. I pray for silence- merely a wishful calm sea. She awaits patiently, like a lion in the brush pondering its next meal, My eyes skim the water. Together, we stare into nothingness- a raging wind. We gather our thoughts and toss them out but they come back to us...wind-blown. Written November 19th, 2001 © on Nov 19 2001 04:30 AM PST 0 • 10
