Tsunami
By VagrantGypsy
I’m so sorry, I should’ve tried to save you from yourself, Instead of secretly hoping for your survival. I shared in much of your pain, See my mother left too, If only you knew then maybe things would be different and You might not be sitting alone in a cold cell. I offered my hand, but you didn’t think you were in any need No one can save you from yourself, yes I know But I should’ve tried to help instead of secretly praying you’d be ok. That one way track was easy to predict And we all saw you drowning, but we’re trying to keep ourselves afloat. Everyone's so bitter at the world for making them who they are No one even thinks to help those suffocating in there own wake. So selfish, so afraid We all end up dieing anyway. I should’ve tried. Now there's bigger waves. Written January 21st, 2002 © on Jan 31 2002 03:20 AM PST 18 • 0 • 1
