Wait for me

By VagrantGypsy

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Wait for me to return After I’ve tamed my dreams and slept around. I know it’s too much to ask, but I’m begging you to still be here when I get back. I need to do this for myself and I’m not sure you’d enjoy yourself Along this sporadic road trip I’m calling my life. I need to fall in love once a day and drink until the stars spin. Wait for me while knowing I love you But I need to do this for myself. I know it’s wrong for me to ask but, I’d like some time apart. You’re the only one worth wild that I’ve found You rock my world, but I need to get out of this town. Let my soul loose sight of ground, so when I’ve had enough and fall... I know you’ll be waiting with open arms. And if you get lost along the way, or choose another path with someone else I’ll still love you even then and except that sometimes lovers meet to young This is all I ask, To wait and let me live.
