Close Your Eyes
By VampireGirl
To late to change your ways And to late to change your mind. Your in a deep sleep for the rest of your time. Before death you had it all, And lost your chance in a hurricane of the soul. The dark rivers ran black. The shadows looked back through the mirror. All your fears gathered around to watch your single last tear. There will be no dancing there will be no more of anything. Just a empty body, painted with makeup The heart felt moment of paying your dues. The last sleep that caused you to lose. All those you treasure, family and friends after death, Well... you never see them again. In your mind you believe you will but that's only to heal the empty heart, To keep you from falling apart. A way to deal with the death of someone you love, Do they truly even go to heaven above? DO they stay in their body while their souls leave? No more happy songs. The preacher stands up at a booth, reading off a few scriptures to you, praying that your soul will watch over you. It's a little to late You can no longer debate rather or not, you'll live or die. Your family is relieved your gone, so you will suffer no more. The pain was unbearable, and burns down the trees of life, you gasped for air, and took your last breath of strife. Still I waited for you to wake, I even gave you a little shake. Still no sign of life, Death covered your eye lids. And all this goes through your mind So close, But so out of time. Before death It comes to you that lost moments of peace rest in between your breasts. The moment of sleep, and rest. In your ears you heard many voices... They told you it was okay to die, Sleep in peace and close your eyes. Written February 2nd, 2002 © on Feb 02 2002 09:48 AM PST, Shelly 0 • 10
