Eating Death and Life

By VampireGirl

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

In my stomach I feel it grow, in my mouth the dark light shows. I cannot hide the sins I've committed. I can not take back the things I've eaten. So deep, I can not let it out, So strong it over powers my soul. Death on the left, Life on the right. Inside my stomach it rages, back and forth it goes. I see it peek out of my eyes, while light covers my air holes. The good in me, wants out But the bad steps in. Everything Dim and dark while light looks in. Its feeding off me desperately And the light has no where to go. The dark fog, clogs my heart and tells the light NO. Now and then, the light shines through like the sun in the mirror it will one day reflect the darkness and that is what I fear. Just then everyone will see the way I truly am, But still to this day, I do not know if they will understand. Written January 2nd, 2002 © on Jan 01 2002 05:43 PM PST, Shelly   0 • 10
