Go To Sleep

By VampireGirl

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Peacefully I see you resting,I can't help but to lye by you, I wonder what your lips would feellike if I kissed them, If they would be cold, or warm.If my lips would tingle or storm.Your eyes are closed, shut. your hands on your chest.Your body lye's at rest, But to me you are a live. When we were together, I made a promise to youthat if you're life ever ended mine would to.I then would kiss your lips, and wrap my arms around you.I never thought our story would end this way,I never thought it would be this day.I would bring you back if I could, I would give my lifeAnd I should. I feel your sorrow,And you are mad at me, for letting you die alone.I'm in fear of taking my life, But I'm in fear of dieing.I could wait this life out, And hopefully one day see you again,I could take my life, and I just might see you now.I didn't expect my world to end, When you went to sleep.I didn't expect your heart to stop, or your breath to go weak. And I cannot, be brave enough to stab this knife through you.The only thing I can do is, wake you, And tell you this was a dream,And kiss your lips and tell you to go back a sleep.
