Lights Off
By VampireGirl
Summer Nights, Extremely hot. Sun glaring down while everyone's in the house, where its cool where the air conditioners fill the house with a short breeze, like a breath weighting on our skin. Before you curse the sun, or the lights we have Think of what would happen, If the sun burnt out like a light bulb exploding in the sky. How pieces of our hearts would shatter and a lot of us would die. Think of if there were no lightening to frighten our fears away. And if there was no electricity, and we couldn't find our way. Think if there was no Moon that would take away our gloom. Or no stars to shine. Think of if our feet stumbled and we landed the wrong way. What would this world be like if there were no light? no switches to be turned on No cars would be driving around. no one ever to be found, Doom To all our lands. All because someone turned off the switch, And everything became a glitch No sun, No Moon, no earth, we die. Written October 11th, 2001 © on Oct 10 2001 06:17 PM PST, Shelly 0 • 10
