She Can Only Hide
By VampireGirl
Gray stone of a woman holding a child in her arms, her eyes looking at the stars, she can't move, she can't speak. Her light breath is weak. Below her she feels the presents of those that die, And those that will. She believes in nothing, And has no one to take her child away. Memories spread to the wind, on a cold winters day. All that of the living dies, along with the trees, and grass, all the leaves tumble to the ground and get kicked around by those going to a funeral. She sees a million tear drops a day and she has no way to hold or hug, those and pray. She sees families being barred side by side, she wishes it would of been as easy for her. She is cased on a stone, and stands six-foot tall, She's beautiful to look at, and sad to see by all. Her eyes show her sadness that always will be, Moss grows on her child, and she can't set him free. They are of stone, And she has a soul deep inside, And she has no way to get out, But only to hide.
