Shed Your Blood

By VampireGirl

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

How much blood will be shed on the earth before the world sees That life is just an allusion of the eye. How many people will fight and how many people will die for what they believe in? Why is it that we must go at war. Its like asking why are some rich and why are some poor? its asking a question we already know the answer to, its closing the book of life before death gets to you. Its showing the crazy things we do, And for once we all see it too. In the eyes we hide all we don't want to be seen. in our head we close the doors, so we will not feel the pain, of our past or our future, whatever it may bring. And for all the blood that's shed on earth what is earth supposed to be? flowers and trees? summers breeze? what did you do for earth today? nothing I presume, what will you do for earth tomorrow? nothing I imagine. What will you do for those that shed their blood? nothing, You are only scared it will be your own but how scared will you be when its your wife and children out in the war, feeding the hungry and giving money to the poor. Will you shed your blood too? or close your eyes and say none of this is true. Written October 11th, 2001 © on Oct 11 2001 06:32 AM PST, Shelly   0 • 1
