Something Is Out There

Searching for my self, finding my self no where Looking in eyes of strangers and trying to look for someone who does care. A person that gives life, instead of taking it. Someone that gives a promise and that will never break it. I walked through snow, and rain, I stepped on thin ice and broke through my pain, I worried that something else would go wrong Looking for a new beautiful song, Something more then a man to come home to, The one thing that was supposed to be true. It seems as if I've had my eyes closed for centuries, I now believe I can open them, This time I may be able to see, walk straight ahead and not tumble to my knees. I will walk down every road, in the night or day I will use the flashlight to guide my way, And when the batteries run out, Ill still be walking when the time runs out ill still be looking for something more then I have, More then I am I know its out there but I don't know where to begin.
