Players play as the merry, Loud and gay, Sprayed the room with Alcohol Players stayed in the wisps of May As the Final Curtain Fell. Yet David stayed on the stage Away from the alcohol and the Players gay Remembering days of Plays and Acts, Calls and Casts Age attacked David’s Aching bones. He sang aloud once more This day of merriment left for him only one thing Not gay play Nor festivities playing in the heat of May, But a cage of players who have played their last act. No more Plays and acts, Calls or Casts The Player recalled an age of achievement and assonance An age of accusation in his acting. Youth had seen him as a wonder, Attacking audience with his amazing acting Sprouting sonnets and playing acts along with the best. During his academy days, professors had seen him bow. During his playing days audiences had seen him fly, Aviate above them, alleviate their ails for minutes at a time. Elevating them higher and higher with every act he cast. But the age for him has passed, this day His Last Play and Act, Call and Cast.Unknown, Written March 1st, 2002 © on Mar 01 2002 06:36 AM PST   0 • 1
