My Darling Phantom Bride

By Wesley Storer

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

We met for a few brief hours That ancient December night That night that lives forever Living within my mind I kissed her lips goodbye That spoke her beauty fair With a holy kiss devine That night that lives forever Breathing within my mind Always joyful always sublime She is mine all the time I guess she gave me her heart And I guess I gave her mine With one holy kiss On that night that lives forever Locked within my mind Did you fare as well with mine? My darling darling phantom bride? Did you fare as well with mine? Written January 15th, 2002 © on Jan 15 2002 07:49 AM PST   0 • 8
