Sunny Days in Darling May
The satiny skies of Spring Bring leaves of floraled green To sunny dayed darling May Opulent silver clouds opaque Whistling winged Geese array Over cachets of dewey sachets Roses maroon of blooming June Golden slippered silouette moon Pendulum cameo ebulient loom Sweeping sparkling star festooned Pure lights eternally alluring Morning brightened fragile dreams Overwhelmed by blinding beams So snowy starlite bridal veils Under steepled railing bells Old Cupid's arrow strayed From ardor's place of favored grace With heart's true affections feigned Love's harpish lark gone harping Ignoring yonder weeds of decay Covering forsaken bachelor graves Love's foolish favor did not claim Once they wallowed in the muck Once they groveled in the mire Hiding silent tears suffered Tender dreams slowly ruptured Pleading the tender darlinged May Not by loneliness to be consumed But alas their loneliness resumed Not grown wiser with the moon None the worse for their doomI hope it doesn't sound like I plagarized "The Tender Buds of darling May", but I must admit it probably had an influence! Hope you like!!! Written February 15th, 2002 © on Feb 15 2002 05:57 AM PST 0 • 8
