Where thundering breakers claim The sea sprayed rocky maine Sailing spirits forever remain Blood kin ties to salty brine The arctic terns joyful climb Mid light swept circling beams Where peaceful  ocean's lull Transcends to furied  squalls Like jealous lovers at a seaman's ball Maddened by love's hellish call There in the land of Winslow Homer Pilgrim Fathers and John Paul Jones Where swelling swales of aqua tones Ceaseless tales call the sailor home To its freedom's peace of mind With jib and beam and mermaid dreams Rubies and Emeralds golden gleams Buried treasure by tropic streams Where thundering tides pound the main And the sea sprayed breakers reign The sailor it claims forever remains Written January 10th, 2002 © on Jan 10 2002 06:46 AM PST   0 • 10
