The Waters of Mt. Colossus

The waters of Mt. Colossus In crystal translucent blues Mirrored a burnished radiance Of October's amber hues As the last Summer Loon In scarlet ambers groomed Awaiting his final moon Then came the silent gloom As cries of a Canyon Wren's Lonely crescendo did descend Telling that poor old Loon Of better days in coming June That night in siloquized flight He shattered the tranquil sight Of drooping lakeside flowers Who that night were devoured Gladly killed unknowing frozen Before their tattered gowns By lonely lovers could be found Then the bridal veiled Winter Lulled old Colossus to sleep To dream of another Spring Written January 4th, 2002 © on Jan 04 2002 09:38 AM PST   0 • 10
