My canoe and me

By whisperingchippewa

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

The ripples slowly go passing by, The birds fly about, against the breath taking blue sky. The squirrels over there running and playing so fast, The sunlight shinning down beating on my back. The water and nature is all I want to soak in, This wonderful day, I don't want to end. My problems for this moment have left my head, Only good thoughts is all I have instead. The oars I grip and paddle gently and free, So relaxing just my canoe and me. I reach the end of my long and relaxing journey, Untill the next time when I sit myself, free from all my worries.           Debra DeLong Nov 3, 2001Nov3 2001, Written November 7th, 2001 © on Nov 07 2001 12:36 PM PST   0 • 10
